Sustainability

The majority of the supplies used in the construction of the lodge are locally sourced. We used natural recycled materials where possible and supplemented them with low VOC products to minimize the effect of harmful gasses on the environment surrounding our lodge.

We look to minimize our impact on the environment by conserving water and electricity while ensuring a comfortable stay for our guests.

To preserve the land and it’s fragile ecosystem, we use only biodegradable and natural cleaning products throughout our property. We provide biodegradable natural toiletries to all of our guests and encourage their usage during them during their stay.

The pool uses a UV and ionization cleaning and filtration process to minimize the use of harmful chemicals, making it safe for guests of all ages.

Our property is free of single-use plastic, and we work hard on recycling and composting as much of our waste as possible.

We hire local staff where possible and equip them with the necessary training, support, and education to help them gain new skills and relevant experiences.

Throughout their stay, guests have an opportunity to minimize their own carbon footprint and have a positive impact on the community, be it by using our free bikes to get around the area, visiting local restaurants, or buying from local artisans.

We are always searching for ways to run our business more consciously and more responsibly. Our sustainability agenda just keeps on growing!
